Cycle Derby

Christmas Breeze ride a festive success

Cycle Derby held their first ladies Christmas Breeze ride which saw 11 riders blinging their bikes in festive style.  The regular ride has seen the numbers steadily increase over the first few months of organising.  The ride takes place from the Council House and follows a totally traffic free route to Elvaston Castle where vast amounts of cake, scones and tea are consumed!  This is becoming a super social event and promotes healthy living along with providing confidence tips to get ladies back on their bikes.

If cycling for whatever reason is something you would like to start or get back into then, Cycle Derby offers a completely FREE service to either get adults riding for the first time, provide confidence to commute in all traffic conditions, route planning, maintenance or just general friendly advice to get you out and about on two wheels.

If your interested then give the team a call on 01332 641747 or email cyclederby@derby.gov.uk.  The next ladies Breeze ride will take place on January 9th at 10am from the Council House, you can either book on the number above or just turn up on the day, we even have bikes to lend if you require them.  Happy Christmas :)
