Sky Ride Local
Get out on your bike in Derby
Derby City Council and British Cycling are encouraging thousands of people to dust off their bikes and get cycling again. Derby is a great place to cycle, and now there are even more opportunities to get out and about on your bike in the area.
Sky Ride Local:
Look out for the Sky Ride Local programme which offers a series of free, fun, guided bike rides around the local area. Guided by friendly British Cycling Ride Leaders along scenic planned routes, they're a great way to get out and see your local area on two wheels. With different levels, there are rides for all abilities - whether you're building your confidence or already comfortable on a bike and looking for a challenge.
To get more women on their bikes, British Cycling's Breeze network is also coming to Derby. Breeze is the biggest programme ever to get more women into riding bikes for fun. The aim is to help thousands more women feel confident and comfortable about going on a ride.
Social Cycling Groups
If riding with friends is more your thing, check out the social network for cyclists. Social Cycling Groups is the ideal opportunity to take control of your cycling, discover new chances to ride and make some friends along the way. Rides are organised all year round by cyclists across your area. If you enjoy cycling, then you'll love this.
